Manufacturing Process Overview

SLA / Resin Additive

Cure photopolymer resin with light to build detailed prototypes and patterns.

Advantages
  • Fine feature resolution
  • Smooth as-printed surfaces relative to FDM
  • Useful for form/fit models and casting patterns
Limitations
  • Resin mechanical/UV limits vary widely
  • Post-cure and cleaning required
  • Long-term durability is material-specific
How it works
  1. Orient and support the model
  2. Print in resin vat
  3. Wash and post-cure
  4. Remove supports and finish

Typical fit: High-detail prototypes, masters, and cosmetic concept models
